Cancellation Seasonality and Developing Long-Term Tourism in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic
Abstract
Seasonality in tourism is determined by natural (climate-based) and institutional (school calendar, holiday periods, etc.) factors. The concentration of tourist flows during specific periods of the year leads to unstable demand for services, short-term utilization of infrastructure, seasonal employment and reduced attractiveness for long-term investment.
This article analyzes the issue of seasonality in tourism observed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its socio-economic consequences. It explores potential strategies for reducing seasonality and examines prospects for the development of long-term tourism. Based on international experiences, the paper proposes recommendations tailored to the context of Nakhchivan.
