Analysis of Electronic Commerce Development Trends and
Customer Behavior in Azerbaijan
Abstract
The e-commerce sector of Azerbaijan has been developing rapidly in recent years. This development has been possible, in particular, as a result of advances in the expansion of internet technologies, the increase in the use of mobile devices and the improvement of digital payment systems. One of the main sources of impetus for e-commerce is the growing interest of customers in online shopping. The public's familiarity with digital technologies and the expansion of access to the internet have led to more people using e-commerce platforms.
Customer behavior analysis plays an important role in the e-commerce sector. Studies show that Azerbaijani consumers tend to buy products from local and international stores. They make purchasing decisions by comparing prices, analyzing products and evaluating different options of the analyzed products. In addition, fast delivery services, reliable payment systems and the quality of customer service are also important factors for customers. The increasing use of mobile applications and the fact that e-commerce sites are more mobile-friendly also play an important role in improving the customer experience.
The development of the e-commerce market also facilitates the access of local companies to international markets, strengthens the competitive environment and creates new business opportunities. However, one of the challenges faced in the development of this sector is the still existing logistics and delivery problems. At the same time, increasing trust in digital payment systems and ensuring the security of customer data are also important issues.
