Classification of Psychological and Pedagogical Opportunities for the

Formation of the Skill of Learning to Learn at School age in our Republic

 

Abstract

 

The article combines and describes learning-to-learn competences in general education institutions with lifelong learning skills that are significantly useful for personal and professional development. The purpose of the article is to present a classification of pedagogical and psychological areas in the development of learning-to-learn competences of students in general education institutions in Azerbaijan.

This aims to identify the studies of learning classification conducted in primary and secondary schools in order to develop students' learning skills through explicit teaching of learning skills or strategies, rather than their acquisition of learning skills only in certain aspects of the curriculum.

The classification of learning is known to science as a hierarchical sequence of cognitive, affective and psychomotor areas. Without this classification, the sequence of cognitive activity of students in training cannot be formed correctly. Observations show that the classification of learning-to-learn is the most discussed area in recent educational practices.

This aimed to identify research conducted in primary and secondary schools to develop students' learning skills through explicit teaching of learning skills or strategies.
