Abstract. Digital transformation has significantly influenced the objectives, content, instructional tools, and assessment mechanisms of language teaching. This article aims to systematize the methodological features of language teaching in a digital educational environment, identify how digital tools can support the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and determine the main pedagogical conditions for their effective use. The study adopts a qualitative theoretical-analytical design and applies content analysis to scholarly literature and international framework documents on digital pedagogy, computer- and mobile-assisted language learning, multimedia learning, digital assessment, and teachers’ digital-pedagogical competence. The analysis identified five main methodological directions: communicativeness and authenticity; multimodality  and cognitive load management; personalization, mobile learning, and learner autonomy; feedback and digital assessment; and teacher competence, accessibility, and digital safety. However, technology alone does not guarantee effective learning outcomes. Its pedagogical value depends on purposeful activity design, teachers’ digital-pedagogical competence, appropriate management of cognitive load, and consideration of accessibility and safety.
