Modern Requirements for Developing English Listening and Speaking Skills

Abstract. This study examines contemporary requirements for improving English listening and speaking skills in language education. It emphasizes communicative language teaching, authentic materials, digital learning environments, learner autonomy, and formative assessment. A qualitative review of recent literature indicates that technology-supported instruction and interactive classroom practices significantly improve oral proficiency, listening comprehension, and communicative confidence. The findings demonstrate that integrating innovative teaching methods with learner-centered approaches contributes to sustainable language development and better academic performance.
