Productivity Indicators of the "Zafar" Rice Variety in the
Lankaran-Astara Region
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the productivity indicators of the “Zafar” rice variety in the conditions of the Lankaran-Astara region. The humid subtropical climate and fertile soil conditions of the region are considered favorable for rice cultivation. The main factors affecting the productivity of the “Zafar” variety - irrigation regime, fertilization level, soil characteristics and agrotechnical measures – will be analyzed within the framework of the study. At the same time, the comparative productivity indicators of the variety with other local and introduced rice varieties will also be studied. The results of the study are expected to contribute to increasing the efficiency of rice production in the region, ensuring food security and sustainable development of agriculture.
