Psychological Aspects of M.Y. Lermontov's Creativity
Abstract
The article analyzes the psychological characteristics of the images and motives in M.Y. Lermontov's works “Vadim” and “A Hero of Our Time”. Special attention is given to the internal conflicts of the characters, their struggle against social norms and their search for personal freedom. Through the lens of psychological analysis, the themes of loneliness, moral doubts, and the tragedy of fate are revealed, reflecting the complex inner world of the characters. The study also examines the influence of historical and social contexts on the formation of characters and plotlines. The article emphasizes the importance of the psychological approach for a deep understanding of Lermontov's work and his contribution to the development of 19th-century Russian literature.
