Abstract. This article examines the importance of psychological preparation of boxing coaches and its impact on athletes’ performance. The study emphasizes that boxing is not only a physically and technically demanding sport, but also one that requires a high level of psychological readiness. It is shown that a coach’s emotional stability, motivational skills, communication style, and ability to manage stress directly affect an athlete’s self-confidence, decision-making during competition, and overall performance outcomes. The article analyzes major psychological factors such as fear of competition, psychological pressure, loss of motivation, and self-confidence issues, while explaining the role of the coach in overcoming these challenges. In addition, effective methods of psychological preparation, including visualization, breathing techniques, concentration exercises, and psychological communication, are presented. The article also explores the psychological approaches and methods of famous boxing coaches in world boxing history, including Cus D’Amato, Freddie Roach, Emanuel Steward, Teddy Atlas, and Angelo Dundee. In conclusion, it is noted that in modern boxing, the psychological preparation of coaches is one of the key factors for achieving high-level results, and coaches should continuously improve their knowledge in the field of sports psychology.
