The Developmental Role of Play and Communication in Preschool
Abstract
Preschool age is the starting point in the psychological development of a child and the formation of his personality, as well as the process of preparation for integration into society. In this direction, play, as the main type of activity, occupies an important place. Play becomes the main part of their energy and is an emotional and social stimulant. At this age, along with play, forms of communication also play a major role in the formation of a child's personality. In the process of play, the child first becomes acquainted with simple forms of social relations.
The skills of establishing mutual relations with peers and adults - initiative, a tendency to communicate - develop during play activities. The initial step in the formation of a child as a personality is the emotional relationships he establishes with adults from the first days of his birth. Over time, these forms of communication expand with more complex social activities – games, training and labor processes. The family and educational environment should organize the child's life in such a way that various types of activities complement each other and create a rich environment for mental development.
