The Role of Teaching Sports Journalism in the Professional Training of Physical Education and Sports Personnel
Abstract
This article examines the role of sports journalism education in the professional training of specialists working in physical education and sports. Sports journalism is not limited to reporting sports events to the public, it also serves to develop young professionals’ communication skills, analytical thinking, and adherence to professional ethical principles. The teaching process is based on the integration of pedagogy, psychology, and communication theories, enhancing students’ practical skills. The study demonstrates that professional education in sports journalism significantly contributes to the development of the sports sector, promotes a healthy lifestyle among youth, and preserves national and moral values. At the same time, this field of education fosters critical thinking and responsible media production skills in students. Practical exercises and real media experience enable young specialists to be better prepared for professional activities.
