The Role of the Media in the Formation and Development of Political
Pluralism in the Republic of Azerbaijan
Abstract
This article examines the functioning of mass media in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It highlights the role of mass media in the formation and development of democracy and political pluralism. The study provides a staged analysis of the legislative support process for mass media activities by the state. The Republic of Azerbaijan is confidently progressing along the path of democratic development. The necessary institutions and legal framework have already been established in the country. Reforms in the field of state-building have ensured the implementation of state authority based on the principle of separation of powers. The free operation of political parties, diverse public organizations, numerous press outlets, as well as the broadcasting of private television and radio channels, are clear and concrete indicators of political pluralism and the freedom of political expression. A democratic atmosphere prevails in Azerbaijan.
