The Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones) in
Emergency Management
Ziya Huseynzadeh
Abstract. This article examines the application areas of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their importance in safety systems for emergency management. In the modern era, obtaining operative and accurate information during fires, technological accidents, natural disasters, and other hazardous events is of great importance. In this regard, drone technologies are widely used for monitoring risky areas, detecting fire sources, and coordinating rescue operations. The article analyzes the capabilities of UAVs equipped with thermal imaging systems, high-resolution surveillance tools, and real-time data transmission technologies. In addition, it is noted that the use of drones in hazardous zones minimizes safety risks to human life. The conducted analysis shows that unmanned aerial vehicles increase the efficiency of emergency management, accelerate operational decision-making processes, and expand response capabilities. The application of drone technologies also enables safer monitoring activities, especially in inaccessible and high-risk areas. At the same time, these systems contribute to more efficient use of human resources and reduction of time loss during emergency situations. It is expected that artificial intelligence-based drone systems will play a more significant role in safety management in the future.
