Transition to Green Energy and Energy Security:
Strategic Priorities of Azerbaijan
Abstract
This article presents Azerbaijan’s strategy for energy security and green energy transition. In the context of 21st-century global energy transformation, renewable energy development, carbon reduction, and energy infrastructure modernization are strategic priorities. The paper analyzes the country’s energy balance, renewable energy potential, energy diplomacy, and “Green Energy Zones.” Public–private partnerships, international cooperation, and technological innovation are highlighted. The green energy policy is assessed as a strategic tool for Azerbaijan’s long-term economic, ecological, and geopolitical sustainability.
