About Shadi Bey, Khan of the Golden Horde
Abstract
The article discusses the relations between the Shirvanshah state and the Golden Horde. While addressing the events that took place between 1400 and 1408, it highlights the issue of Golden Horde Khan Shadi Bey finding political asylum in the Shirvanshah state. This indicates that during that period, the Shirvanshah state was not only one of the most powerful in the South Caucasus, but also a particularly distinguished state among the major powers of the Near and Middle East and Eurasia. Highlighting such historical facts helps students and learners not only take pride in their statehood but also significantly deepen their love and respect for it.
