Application of Mobile Learning Technologies in Teaching Literature

 

Abstract

 

The article explores the potential applications, advantages, and limitations of mobile technologies in literature classes. The aim is to reveal the impact of these technologies on the teaching process as well as teachers’ experiences and approaches. Within the scope of the study, interviews were conducted with 12 literature teachers with at least five years of pedagogical experience, and the data were nalysed thematically. The results show that mobile applications such as Kahoot, Quizlet, audiobooks, and presentation software make lessons more interactive, increase student motivation and content comprehension, and provide opportunities to adapt to individual learning paces. However, weak infrastructure, lack of internet access and equipment, as well as the scarcity of locally relevant resources, were identified as the main obstacles. Teachers emphasized the importance of purposeful, planned, and methodologically grounded use of technology, also noting the risks of distraction. The study evaluates mobile technologies in literature teaching not merely as supplementary tools but as keys to new pedagogical opportunities.
