“Culture of Daily Life and Domestic Services” at the

Philosophical-Historical-Etymological level

 

Abstract

 

    This reseach analyzes the study, a number of terms that are encountered in the teaching of the subject “Culture of Daily Life and Domestic Services and Domestic Services”, currently included in the curriculum for the bachelor's degee in the speciality “Technology Teaching” from a philosophica- historical-etymological perspective. It was noted that the subject “Culture of Daily Life and Domestic Services” is rich in terms, contents, signs and symbols: culture, culturology, civilization, culturogenesis, artifact, assimilation, education, upbringing, progress development, axiology, everyday culture, socialization, subculture and others. At present the word “culture” is emphasized to have a broad meaning and is associated with enlightenment, education, literacy, upbringing, development, progress, memory, management, fate of the nation, lifestyle, creativity, the system of aesthetics, the spiritual dimension of any activity and others. So when we say that someone is a cultured person, it means that the person is educated, knowledgeable, thoughtful, capable, honest, highly educated, in short, sociable and well-manneered, communicative and intentional. However, it is also stressed that being educated and knowledgeable although important, it is not enough to be considered truly cultured. It is often said: “It is easy to become a scholar, but difficult to become a human being. So, what does it mean to be human and cultured? This study has clarified the deeper meaning of many terms of this kind.
