Food Industry and Its Innovative Features

 

Abstract

 

In Azerbaijan, the food industry is one of the key economic sectors developed to reduce dependence on the oil and gas sector. This article presents an analytical overview of investments directed toward innovative technologies in the national food industry, the expansion of new product varieties, digitalization and automation processes, as well as labor productivity and export indicators. Statistical data obtained from official sources such as the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) and the State Statistical Committee are reflected in tables, while local scientific studies and official reports are analyzed. Based on the obtained results, the level of innovative development in the food industry is evaluated, and recommendations for its future advancement are provided.
