Integration of Digital Literacy and Social Media Tools into the
Learning Process
Abstract
The integration of digital literacy and social media tools into the learning process serves as an innovative and effective approaches within the modern education system. In the 21st century, the rapid development of information technologies and the integration of digital tools into daily life have led to the emergence of new approaches in the education sector. In this sontext, the concept of digital literacy is not limited to the ability to use technological tools, but also encompasses the skills of searching, processing, evaluating and safely using digital information, making it a complex and comprehensive competency. The application of social media tools in the educational process creates opportunities for the formation of innovative approaches in this direction. This article systematically analyzes the components of digital literacy and its impact on the educational prosess, as well as the pedagogical potential of social media platforms, their integration into the teaching process and the effects of this integration on learning outcomes. The role of various social media tools in creating interactive learning environments, their impact on teacher-student relationships and their contribution to the quality of education are presented based on the analysis of scientific literature and practical examples. The research results confirm that increasing the level of digital literacy and the proper, purposeful use of social media tools contribute to the development of students’ creative thinking, enhance learning motivation and create a more flexible and interactive educational environment. The article also offers recommendations on the effective use of digital resources and the application of information and communication technologies in modern educational settings.
