Abstract. In the contemporary global economy, structural changes in energy markets, the dynamic nature of demand for energy resources, and increasing interdependence within international supply chains have made the efficient management of logistics processes in the oil and gas industry a strategic necessity. The movement of oil and gas products from production sites to processing facilities, storage terminals, and final consumption destinations involves complex technological, economic, and organizational processes. In this context, the development of transportation infrastructure, the technical capabilities of storage systems, transportation route optimization, energy consumption, operating costs, and logistics risk management are among the key factors determining the continuity of product flows and their economic efficiency. The primary objective of this article is to systematically investigate the logistics factors influencing the movement of oil and gas products, assess their relationships with the technical and economic performance indicators of storage and transportation processes from a theoretical and methodological perspective, and identify opportunities for optimizing logistics operations. The methodological framework of the research is based on a systems approach, comparative analysis, theoretical synthesis, and the principles of multicriteria assessment of logistics performance indicators. The study examines the influence of transportation distance, transport infrastructure throughput capacity, storage duration, product losses, infrastructure reliability, energy intensity, and operating costs on the overall performance of the logistics system. As an innovative approach, the article explores opportunities for integrating Digital Twin technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence-based predictive models, and real-time monitoring systems into oil and gas logistics. The potential application of these technologies is examined in relation to improving the coordination of transportation flows, anticipating technical failures, minimizing product losses, and supporting data-driven logistics decision-making. Furthermore, the integration of economic efficiency, technological reliability, operational safety, and environmental sustainability indicators into a unified evaluation framework is proposed as a promising methodological approach to the comprehensive management of oil and gas product movements. The comprehensive consideration of logistics factors affecting the movement of oil and gas products, integrated management of storage and transportation processes, and implementation of innovative digital technologies are of considerable importance for optimizing logistics costs, improving operational reliability, and strengthening the resilience of energy supply chains.
