Molla Panah Vagif and Our Native Poetry

 

Abstract

 

 

Molla Panah Vagif is one of the powerful literary figures with a special position in the history of Azerbaijani literature. He is the third artist in our literary history to create a literary school after Nizami and Fuzuli. His creativity is the beginning of a new stage in the history of the rise of our literature. The period of Molla Panah Vagif is considered the period of national revival of Azerbaijani poetry. Among the main features of this period are optimism, open-minded approach and realistic perspectives, a realistic approach and a broad worldview stand out. Each of these features manifested itself in Vagif’s personal life and creativity, and was of particular importance in his recognition as a socio-political figure. Each of these features we have mentioned manifested itself in Vagif’s personal life and creativity, and at the same time was an important part of his socio-political activity.

When evaluating the role of Vagif in the development of the Azerbaijani literary language, it is important to consider and evaluate the specific stages of development of our language. Vagif, continuing the literary heritage of his predecessors in his own unique way, in his own unique style, opened a new path. M.P. Vagif laid the foundation for the development of Azerbaijani literature in the 19th century, making a significant and important contribution to the formation of this period. It can be said that he summed up the heritage of his predecessors and artists on a national basis and gave direction to the literary activities of subsequent writers, especially those who lived in the 19th century.

The article emphasizes the purity of the language of M.P. Vagif’s poems in terms of comparison, their clarity and comprehensibility. It is brought to the attention that he stood at the peak of our 18th century native language poetry and created a literary school after him. The issues of Vagif’s creativity and tradition on the oral poems that emerged after him, and the strong influence of them on the poet’s creativity are commented on.
