Mother Tongue and Freedom, Nationality and Tolerance, Literary Relations and the Concept of Georgia in the Work of the Great Poet of İndependence

Abstract

The article studies the Georgian and Georgia themes in the work of B. Vahabzadeh. It is shown that the poet's work is rich in terms of genre, form, type, style, as well as diverse. Whether in poetry, journalism, prose, screenplay and dramaturgy, he reflects the harmony of man and nature, the idea of historicity and modernity. It is precisely these civic motives that determine the theme of Georgia in the poet's work. Thus, along with the nature and beauties of Georgia, the poet is also interested in the fate of his compatriots living here. One of the first peoples to die in the national liberation struggle was the Georgian people. In the poem "The Two-Headed Eagle", he describes Russia's "aggression against" peoples and nations, "putting countries on top of each other". Another factor in B.Vahabzadeh's work was to follow the creativity of Azerbaijani poets living in Georgia and highly evaluate it from an artistic and aesthetic point of view. It is known that Georgian poets and writers have written many poems and stories about Azerbaijan. This process also took place in Azerbaijani literature; S.Vurgun, S.Rustam, R.Rza, M.Dilbazi, O.Sarivelli, M.Araz, A.Babayev and dozens of other poets glorified Georgia. In B.Vahabzadeh's work, this process went in a different direction. In his work, there are works that are ideologically consonant with Georgian literature and he wrote articles paying attention to the work of Azerbaijani poets who lived and created here. At the same time, his poems were translated into Georgian.
