Abstract
This article examines the possibilities of using interactive teaching methods in the formation of students’ knowledge and skills in Azerbaijani language lessons from a scientific and pedagogical perspective. One of the main goals of modern education is not only to provide students with theoretical knowledge but also to develop their ability to apply this knowledge in practice, as well as to improve their independent thinking and communicative skills. In this context, the application of interactive teaching methods in Azerbaijani language classes is of great importance. The article analyzes the concept of interactive learning, its pedagogical essence, and its main characteristics. It also explores the role and effectiveness of interactive methods such as brainstorming, cluster method, discussion, debate, role-playing, and group work in the teaching process.
The results of the study show that interactive methods ensure students’ active participation in the learning process, develop their oral and written communication skills, and promote critical and creative thinking. At the same time, these methods strengthen students’ ability to work collaboratively and increase their motivation for learning. The article also emphasizes the importance of the teacher’s role as an organizer and facilitator in the interactive learning process. In conclusion, the study highlights that the systematic and purposeful use of interactive teaching methods in Azerbaijani language lessons significantly improves the quality of teaching and contributes to the more effective development of students’ language skills.
