Research on the Effect of Fatigue Defect Caused by Corrosion on the Strength of Main Piplines on the Mechanics of Fracture
Abstract
In modern times, monitoring and diagnostics of the linear part of main gas pipelines are necessary to ensure reliable and safe operation of fuel energy complexes and main gas pipelines (MGP). The objects of technical diagnostics are the "pipeline - environment" system. This includes all devices and elements corresponding to "Main pipelines". The article presents a model that allows simulating corrosion-induced fatigue cracks in main pipelines, which allows assessing their further development as a crack. The article proposes a method for predicting the growth of surface cracks and determining the residual resource.
