Semantic Types of Verbs in Azerbaijan and English Languages
Abstarct
Since the 50 s.-the 20th century, special attention has been paid to the lexical-semantical grouping of verbs in linguistics of Azerbaijan. This was due to the need for a more extensive and comprehensive study of verbs, as well as other parts of speech and the need to identify and reveal their specific features and characteristics. In both English and Azerbaijani linguistics, a large number of studies have been conducted on the lexical-semantic groups of verbs, as well as on the individual grammatical features of verbs. This article also examines the studies conducted on the types of meaning of verbs and on perceptual verbs, which are one of the types of verbs.
