Sources and Forms of Macroeconomic Policy Formation
Abstract
Macroeconomic policy is a system of government measures implemented to ensure the stability, sustainable development, and social welfare of the national economy. The formation of this policy is based on various theoretical approaches and practical realities. Among its sources are economic theories, recommendations from international organizations, the state’s fiscal and monetary capacities, the socio-economic environment, and political will. The main forms of macroeconomic policy include fiscal policy, monetary policy, exchange rate policy, structural policy, and income policy. This article analyzes these sources and forms, compares the perspectives of different economic schools, and evaluates their practical application in the context of Azerbaijan.
