Stylish Features of Phraseological Units in English
Abstract
The article discusses the stylistic features of phraseological units in English. For this purpose, importance is attached to the analysis of their functions in the artistic language. As a result of the analysis, it becomes clear that in addition to folk phraseology, there are also phraseological units created by poets and writers in English. The connection of these phraseological units with stylistics and stylistic aspects are explained. From this point of view, attention is paid to two main issues:
1. The connection of the change in the content of phraseological units with style;
2. The effect of the inversion of components in phraseological units on their stylistic character.
The explanation of these issues shows that the above features distinguish phraseological units from other idioms.
In the article, the operation on phraseological units and their change in terms of style is associated with the freedom of the artistic language. In addition, approaching phraseological units from a general cultural perspective is considered one of the necessary issues. The importance of artistic style in the emotional differentiation of these linguistic facts and their superiority over other linguistic units is brought to the fore. The role of poets and writers in this process is assessed.
