The Educational Importance of the Book Corner in Preschool Educational Institutions
Abstract
The book corner holds great importance in preschool education institutions as an integral part of children’s learning and upbringing. From an early age, fostering a love for books in children, sparking their interest in reading, and developing their speech and thinking skills are essential components of the purposeful environment created in kindergartens. According to modern pedagogical approaches, the design of the book corner should not only be visually appealing but also support children’s physical and mental development, providing opportunities for free book selection, exploration, and discussion activities. In preschool institutions, the book corner serves as an important tool for developing children’s speech, thinking, memory, and imagination. Proper organization and arrangement of the book corner enhances children’s reading culture, curiosity, and independent activity skills. The book corner is one of the key elements influencing children’s future literacy level, social abilities, and creative thinking. Therefore, the creation and continuous improvement of book corners in preschool education institutions are considered significant components of the pedagogical process.
