The Emergency and Development of Animation Art in Azerbaijan

Abstract. The animation samples produced throughout the historical evolution of this sector have attracted the attention of specialists, both in terms of thematic diversity and the richness of artistic expression. The historical path traversed demonstrates that national animated films have played an invaluable role in translating the rich Azerbaijani culture and folklore traditions into the language of the screen, as well as transmitting them to the younger generation. The individual creative skills have held a unique place in the development of the animation field and its entry into the international arena. The application of innovative and aesthetic methods keeping pace with the technical progress of the era has given a strong impetus to the improvement of this sector in terms of both quantities.
The research concludes that the animation sector is not merely a means of visual entertainment, but also an important branch of art that serves to protect the historical-cultural memory of society. The evolution of animation in Azerbaijan have formed in full integration with the general developmental trajectory of national cinema, fundamental place in the country's cultural context in accordance with the ideological demands.
