The Impact of Memorial Monuments on the Formation of National
Identity in the Example of Quba Genocide Memorial Complex
Abstract
The Quba Genocide Memorial Complex holds great significance in preserving Azerbaijan's history and national identity. This monument not only immortalizes the memory of the tragedy but also strengthens the collective memory of the people. Memorial monuments contribute to the formation of national consciousness and the increase of patriotism. The Quba Genocide Complex also plays an important role in introducing Azerbaijan's history and culture to the world. Such monuments, while passing on the lessons of the past to future generations, also promote national unity and strength, serve as a key tool in the preservation and strengthening of national identity. The purpose of this article is to analyze the creation of the Quba Genocide Memorial Complex and the role of memorial monuments in the preservation of national identity.
