The Impact of Modern Pedagogical Approaches on the Quality of
Teaching in Higher Education
Abstract
In the modern era, rapid social, technological, and economic changes occurring within higher education systems impose new requirements on the content and organization of the teaching-learning process. In this context, the impact of modern pedagogical approaches on the quality of teaching in higher education is of particular relevance. This study analyzes the application of student-centered learning, competency-based approaches, problem-based learning, the project method, and pedagogical models grounded in interactive and digital technologies within higher education institutions.
The research substantiates the positive influence of modern pedagogical approaches on the development of students’ critical thinking, creativity, independent decision-making, and professional skills aligned with labor market demands. At the same time, it emphasizes the transformation of the teacher’s role from a transmitter of knowledge to an organizer and facilitator of the learning process, as well as the significance of formative assessment approaches and feedback in enhancing teaching quality.
The systematic and purposeful implementation of modern pedagogical approaches in higher education contributes significantly to improving the quality of teaching, structuring education in an outcome-oriented manner, and preparing competitive specialists.
