The İnfluence of the USA in the Context of the Ukraine-Russia Conflict: Geopolitical Strategies and Environmental İmpacts
Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyze the geopolitical strategies implemented by the United States in the context of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the direct and indirect impacts of these strategies on the environment and the growing role of green technologies in the system of international relations. Environmental impacts are one of the most serious, but often overlooked, consequences of this conflict. Bombing of industrial infrastructure, burning of forests, mining of land, chemical leaks and radioactive risks pose an ecological threat not only to Ukraine, but also to the entire region. The research was carried out with an interdisciplinary approach, combining both political science analysis and ecological assessment approaches. Thus, it is proven that conflicts in the 21st century are formed not only by weapons, but also by information, energy and environmental policies.
