The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Recruitment Process
and Ethical Issues
Abstract
In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has radically changed the recruitment process. The limitations of traditional recruitment methods, the waste of time and resources, as well as the risks of subjective decision-making, have begun to be eliminated by the application of artificial intelligence. This article examines the application of artificial intelligence in recruitment and the related ethical issues. The article discusses the use of artificial intelligence in the recruitment process, its advantages and ethical challenges.
The study examined a number of areas of application of artificial intelligence in recruitment, from CV analysis to video interview systems, chatbots and automation of psychometric tests. These technologies increase the speed of the recruitment process and ensure objective decisions, but ethical issues – algorithmic bias, data protection and transparency – still remain relevant problems. The experience of different countries has shown how the use of artificial intelligence differs in different cultures and legal environments.
The application of artificial intelligence in the Azerbaijani context, despite modern technological developments, is still in its infancy. The establishment of legal regulations and ethical standards in this area is essential for the effective and fair use of artificial intelligence.
