Abstract. In this study, a novel zinc-based coordination complex derived from para-aminobenzoic acid was synthesized, and its structural properties were characterized using various physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques. Additionally, the biological activity of the complex was evaluated to assess its potential applicability in biomedical or pharmaceutical fields. Duringthe synthesis process, various chemical reagents were used while maintaining stoichiometric ratios, and the crystalline structure of the obtained product was examined under a microscope. The complex compound was characterized using several analytical methods, including FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and crystallography. The absorption frequencies of carboxyl groups in the IR spectrum were analyzed, and it was determined that the coordination type is ionic in nature. The thermolysis process occurred in four main stages, and the structural changes were monitored throughout. The synthesized compound was also applied to “Gisela-6” plants under in vitro conditions at various concentrations. Significant improvements in plant development and proliferation parameters were observed in the nutrient medium enriched with the complex compound. In particular, at a concentration of 700 mg/L, a high initiation and proliferation rate (90%) along with rapid growth was recorded. The conducted study demonstrated that the synthesized complex compound can serve as an effective biologically active substance for stimulating plant development.
