Bədii ədəbiyyatın hər bir mərhələsində ata ilə oğul arasında olan münasibətlər qələmə alınmışdır. Qədim və orta əsrlər ədəbiyyatına aid mətnlərdə təsadüf etdiyimiz bu mövzu tarixi şəraitin tələblərindən asılı olaraq XIX əsrdə başqa bir məzmun ifadə etməyə başladı. Belə qənaətə gəlirik ki, XIX əsri dönüş nöqtəsi kimi götürə bilərik. Bu mövzuya tədqiqatlarında yer verən ədəbiyyatşünaslarımızın içərisində Məsud Əlioğlunun araşdırması xüsusilə seçilir. Sərlövhəsi simvolik mahiyyət daşıyan “Atalar və oğullar” məzmunlu məqalələrdə iki nəsil arasındakı fikir konflikti diqqət mərkəzinə çəkilir. O, təkcə ata-oğul münaqişəsindən danışmır, bu mübarizəni köhnə ilə yeninin mübarizəsi kimi götürürdü. Belə ki, tənqidçi əsərlərində yalnız mühafizəkar ataları deyil, həyatda yolunu tapa bilməyən, təhsildən, elmdən xəbərsiz oğulları da tənqid etmişdir. The relationship between father and son is written in every stage of literature. Depending on the requirements of the historical conditions, this theme, which we encounter in the texts of the ancient and medieval literature, began to express a different content in the 19th century. We conclude that we can take the 19th century as a turning point. Masud Alioglu's research is particularly distinguished among our literary critics who have given space to this topic in their research. The articles with the symbolic title “Fathers and Sons” focus on the conflict of ideas between the two generations. He did not only talk about the father-son conflict, he took this struggle as a struggle between the old and the new. Thus, in his works, the critic criticized not only the conservative fathers, but also the sons who could not find their way in life and were ignorant of education and science. The article will analyze the upbringing and environment factor, respect for elders, and the problem of a positive character in the clarification of father-son relations.
