İNGİLİS DİLİNİN KİPLƏŞƏN-PARTLAYIŞLI SAMİT FONEMLƏRİNİN SPEKTRAL XÜSUSİYYƏTLƏRİ

Uzun illərdir ki, ingilis dilində samitlərin kəmiyyət xüsusiyyətlərinə lazımi diqqət yetirilməyib. Bu problemə səthi münasibətin məntiqi nəticəsi olaraq dilçilik ədəbiyyatında müasir ingilis dilində samit fonemlərin kəmiyyət göstəriciləri ilə bağlı hələ də konsensus yoxdur. Məqaləyə əsasən tədqiqat işimizdə ingilis dilinin /p/ samitinin spektral təhlili üzrə apardığımız eksperimentdən bir hissə daxil edilib. Eksperimentdə, samit fonemlərin spektral təhlilində kar və cingiltili samitlər arasındakı ziddiyyətə xüsusi diqqət yetirilmişdir ki, bu da /p/ samitinin eyni fonetik mövqelərdə məruz qaldığı dəyişiklikləri müəyyən etməyə imkan verib. Məqalənin məqsədi aparılmış eksperimental tədqiqat nəticəsində müxtəlif növ sözlərdə fərqli fonetik mövqelərdə olan ingilis /p/ kipləşən-partlayışlı samitinin fonetik dəyişikliklərini aşkar etməkdir. Eksperimental fonetik təhlilə daxil edilmiş sözlərin spektroqrafik təsvirləri alınmış və əldə edilən spektroqramların seqmentasiyası aparılmışdır. Bundan sonra seqmentləşdirilmiş spektroqramlarda müvafiq samitlərin spektroqrafik mənaları müəyyən edilmişdir. Akustik təhlil apararkən bəzi nəzəri suallara cavab tapmağa çalışmışıq: a) təhlil edilən kipləşən-partlayışlısamitlərin formalaşmasında səsin iştirak dərəcəsinin müəyyənləşdirilməsi; b) tədqiq olunan kipləşən-partlayışlı samitlərdə partlayışın intensivlik dərəcəsinin müəyyənləşdirilməsi; c) kipləşən və partlayışlı fazaların səs uzunluğu arasındakı əlaqənin müəyyən edilməsi.

Spectral properties of English occlusion-plosive consonant phonemes

Abstract

There has been little attention given in recent years to the quantitative characteristics of consonants in the English language. As a logical consequence of a superficial attitude to this problem, there is still no consensus on the quantitative indicators of consonant phonemes in modern English in linguistic literature. This article includes a part of the experiment we conducted in our research work on the spectral analysis of the consonant /p/ of the English language. In this study on the spectral analysis of consonant phonemes, special attention was paid to the contrast between voiceless and voiced consonants, which made it possible to determine the changes that the /p/ consonant undergoes in the same phonetic positions.

This article aims to reveal the phonetic changes of the English occlusion-plosive consonant /p/ in different phonetic positions in different types of words as a result of a research study. In the study, spectrographic images of the words included in the experimental phonetic analysis were obtained and segmented. Thereafter, the spectrographic meanings of the corresponding consonants were determined in the segmented spectrograms. When conducting an acoustic analysis, we tried to find answers to the following theoretical problems: a) determination of the degree of voice participation in the formation of the occlusion-explosive consonants; b) determination of the degree of intensity of the explosion in the studied occlusion-explosive consonants; c) determination of the relationship between the sound length of the occlusion and explosive phases.
