Activating Doctrine Through the Perceptual Image:
in Malek Bennabi’s Framework
Abstract
The paper explores Malek Bennabi's use of perceptual and cognitive images as tools to counter colonial intellectual hegemony. It analyzes the methodological foundations of his approach and categorizes examples according to his three worlds: the world of things, the world of people and the world of ideas. The discussion integrates a monotheistic worldview perspective. The study concludes by underscoring the significance of perceptual images in addressing contemporary civilizational challenges within Bennabi’s doctrinal framework, while outlining their methodological features
