Legal Regulatıon in Free Economıc Zones

Ilaha Nasirova

Abstract. Legal regulation in free economic zones (FEZs) is an important component of the state's investment policy and economic liberalization strategy. FEZs are territories where a special legal regime is applied, entrepreneurial activity is encouraged, tax and customs benefits are provided, and administrative procedures are simplified. The legal basis of these zones is determined by special laws and regulatory acts and covers the status, rights and obligations of residents, investment protection and dispute resolution mechanisms.

The legal regime in FEZs is more flexible and stimulating in nature, investors are provided with tax benefits, currency freedom and special conditions of use. The purpose of this regulation is to make the investment environment attractive and at the same time protect national economic interests. In international practice, FEZs operate in various forms - as industrial parks, technoparks and logistics centers, and their effectiveness is associated with legal stability, strong governance and the provision of investor rights.
