Ideas in Modern Azerbaijani Education
Abstract
Safarali bay Valibayov’s pedagogical and enlightenment activities played a significant role in the history of Azerbaijani education. His ideas left a profound impact on the development of national education, instruction in the mother tongue, student-centered teaching approaches and the expansion of the enlightenment movement. Valibayov’s heritage remains relevant in modern Azerbaijani education, and his pedagogical principles form the basis of educational reforms.
