The Role of International Logistics Services in the Development
of the Non-Oil Sector
Abstract
This article analyzes the impact of international logistics services on the development of Azerbaijan's non-oil sector. The study evaluates how logistics infrastructure, transport, and transit capacities affect export potential, production costs, and competitiveness. The analysis demonstrates that an efficient logistics system shortens market access time, optimizes costs, and diversifies the structure of non-oil exports. Azerbaijan’s strategic geographic location enhances transit opportunities and strengthens regional cooperation. Additionally, the adoption of digital technologies and electronic customs systems increases logistics efficiency, providing a transparent and reliable business environment for entrepreneurs. The study also emphasizes that the development of the logistics sector positively influences economic resilience and long-term growth. The findings suggest that strengthening international logistics services is of strategic importance to enhance the competitiveness of the non-oil sector and to ensure economic diversification. Efficient logistics acts as a critical driver for sustainable economic development and contributes to the broader objective of reducing reliance on oil revenues while expanding non-oil exports.
