Women Painters in Contemporary Graphic

Abstract. The role of women artists in modern Azerbaijani graphic art has become increasingly important and active in recent years. Traditionally, visual art, including the field of graphics, was dominated by men for a long time. However, since the end of the 20th century, the integration of women artists into this field has created conditions for the formation of new trends in terms of both technical, aesthetic and content.
Women artists are creative in various styles and themes in modern Azerbaijani graphics. For example, Khayal Abdullayeva and Gulrana Gurbanova are distinguished by their individual style and creative approaches, and their works apply modern aesthetic principles and innovative technical solutions. Vafa Allahyarova, Sevila Hasanova and Nargiz Mammadova pay more attention to social issues, national-cultural values and various aspects of modern life. Ayten Bakhshaliyeva, Teyyub Abdullayeva and Farida Babayeva are known for their works in which decorativeness, compositional diversity and visual harmony are at the forefront.
The tendency to individualization is especially noticeable in the works of modern female graphic artists. They not only perform the traditional function of depiction, but also act as independent creative subjects expressing their individual worldviews, social positions, and attitudes towards society. This individuality is clearly manifested in the compositional structure, color choice, and thematic approach. At the same time, the application of digital technologies has expanded the possibilities of graphic art, bringing new visual effects and interactivity to the works of female artists.
