Резюме

Статья посвящена изучению роли северокавказского мусульманского фактора в Астрахан­ской области в конце XX - начале XXI вв. Делается вывод о том, что сокращение числен­ности традиционных групп населения на фоне мощного миграционного потока за последние два-три десятилетия (особенно с Северного Кавказа) меняет этническую ситуацию в регионе и межэтнический баланс в сторону мигранты. Во многом именно в связи с притоком мигрантов с Северного Кавказа в Нижнее Поволжье в конце XX века в регион стали проникать идеи радикального ислама.

XX - early XXI centuries

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the role of the North Caucasian Muslim factor in the Astrakhan region in the late XX - early XXI centuries. It is concluded that the reduction in the number of traditional population groups against the backdrop of a powerful migration flow over the past two or three decades (especially from the North Caucasus) is changing the ethnic situation in the region and the interethnic balance in the direction of migrants. In many respects, it was due to the influx of migrants from the North Caucasus to the Lower Volga region at the end of the 20th century that the ideas of radical Islam began to penetrate the region.
