Qeydə alınmış tarixi mənbələrə görə müxtəlif mifologiyalarda Saturn əsas obraz olmuşdur. Babil astronomları, Saturnun hərəkətini sistematik şəkildə müşahidə etmiş və qeydə almışdırlar. Qədim yunan dilində planet Fanion, Roma dövründə isə “Saturn ulduzu” olaraq bilinirdi. Qədim Roma mifologiyasına görə planet Fanion, planetin müasir adını aldığı bu əkinçilik tanrısı üçün müqəddəsdir. Romalılar, Yunan tanrısı Kronu Saturna ekvivalent hesab edirdilər; müasir yunan dilində planet, “Kron” adını saxlayır [1].

Yunan elm adamı Ptolomey, Saturnun orbit hesablamalarını onun qarşıdurma əsasında olduğu zaman həyata keçirdiyi müşahidələrə əsaslandırdı. Hindu astrologiyasında Navaqrahalar olaraq bilinən 9 astroloji obyekt vardır. Saturn “Şani” olaraq bilinir və hər kəsi həyatdakı yaxşı və pis əməllərinə görə mühakimə edər. Qədim Çin və Yapon mədəniyyətində, Saturn planeti “Yer ulduzu” olaraq təyin edilmişdir. Bu, ənənəvi olaraq təbii elementləri təsnif etmək üçün istifadə edilən Beş Elementə əsaslanır.

From the history of observations and research of the Saturn planet

Abstract

According to recorded historical sources, Saturn has been a central figure in various mythologies. Babylonian astronomers systematically observed and recorded the movement of Saturn. In ancient Greek, the planet was known as Fanion, and in Roman times, it was known as "Saturn star". According to ancient Roman mythology, the planet Fanion is sacred to this god of agriculture, from whom the planet takes its modern name. The Romans considered the Greek god Cronus to be equivalent to Saturn; in modern Greek, the planet retains the name "Kron".

The Greek scientist Ptolemy based his calculations of Saturn's orbit on observations he made when it was at opposition. In Hindu astrology, there are 9 astrological objects known as Navagrahas. Saturn is known as 'Shani' and judges everyone according to their good and bad deeds in life. In ancient Chinese and Japanese culture, the planet Saturn was designated as the "Earth star".
