Öyrənmə nəzəriyyəsi və akademik intizam olaraq, xarici dillərin tədrisi metodologiyası hər birinin öz müstəqil vəzifələri və spesifik məzmunu olan bir neçə növ metodu özündə cəmləşdirir. Ümumi metodologiya xarici dilin hansı dildə olmasından və tədrisi üçün şəraitin nə olmasından asılı olmayaraq onun tədrisinin qanunauyğunluqlarını və xüsusiyyətlərini öyrənməklə məşğuldur. Məsələn, tədris materialının seçilməsi prinsipləri, məşqlər sistemi, tədris prosesinin intensivləşdirilməsi üsulları müxtəlif təlim şəraiti və tələbələrin müxtəlif kontingentləri üçün ümumilikdə eyni olacaqdır. Şəxsi metodlar tələbələrin ana dilinin xüsusiyyətlərini nəzərə alaraq müəyyən bir xarici dilin tədrisi nümunələrini vurğulayır. Xüsusi metodlar dilin müəyyən aspektlərinin və ya nitq fəaliyyətinin növlərinin (FN) tədrisinin xüsusiyyətlərini, habelə müasir texnologiyalardan istifadəni, dildə sinifdənkənar işin təşkilini və s.

Creative learning methods and development of creativity in english language teaching
Abstract
As a learning theory and an academic discipline, foreign language teaching methodology includes several types of methods, each with its own independent tasks and specific content. The general methodology is concerned with studying the regularities and features of teaching a foreign language, regardless of what language it is and what the conditions are for its teaching. For example, the principles of selection of educational material, system of exercises, methods of intensification of the educational process will be generally the same for different educational conditions and different contingents of students. Personal methods emphasize examples of teaching a certain foreign language, taking into account the characteristics of the students' native language. Special methods include the characteristics of teaching certain aspects of the language or types of speech activity (FN), as well as the use of modern technologies, the organization of extracurricular work in the language, etc.
