Analysis of the Application and Effectiveness of the
Dropshipping Model in E-Commerce
Abstract
This article analyzes the dropshipping business model in e-commerce. The study explains the model’s concept, operational mechanism, advantages, and limitations. It examines both global and Azerbaijani markets, highlighting the role of government policies promoting e-commerce and logistics infrastructure. The analysis demonstrates that dropshipping allows startups and small entrepreneurs to operate with low capital, reduce risks, and expand product variety. However, challenges such as supplier reliability, delivery delays, and customs procedures exist. The results indicate that proper supplier selection, product quality control, and implementation of digital marketing strategies ensure successful dropshipping operations in the Azerbaijani market.
