Dialectisms in Movlud Suleymanli's Novel “Migration”
Abstract
Writers and poets sometimes use non-common words in their works of art to more clearly reflect ideas related to national customs, lifestyles and livelihoods of the people. Although such words, which are functional in the historical layers of the language and are not stabilized in the literary language, but have a local character, add richness to the style of literary works. The folk language retains words in the local lexicon that are very lively and important for life. Some dialect words are sometimes needed to reveal the character of characters in literary works, and sometimes to correctly describe the event or place where the event occurred.
