Reasons of the War Between the Juji Nation and the Hulakis State
Abstract
Due to its natural resources, transit trade caravan routes, and military-strategic importance, Azerbaijan has always attracted the attention of the Juji Nation (Golden Horde). The khans of the Golden Horde constantly attempted to invade Azerbaijani lands and used all available means to achieve this goal. Starting from Hulaki Khan, during the reigns of all Elkhanid rulers, wars frequently broke out between the Elkhanids and the Golden Horde. Since the military operations mainly took place on Azerbaijani territory, it was the Azerbaijani people who suffered the most damage.
