The Literary, Linguistic and Aesthetic
Semantics of Agasadig Garaybeyli’s Characters

Abstract. This article examines the literary, linguistic and aesthetic semantics of the characters created by Agasadig Garaybeyli, a distinguished representative of Azerbaijani theatre and cinema and a People's Artist of Azerbaijan. The aim of the study is to identify the interrelationship between literary text, speech culture, language style and aesthetic means of expression in the actor’s characters representing different genres. The research analyzes the semantic content of the characters, their lexical-semantic features, the expression of national and cultural values, the psychological characteristics of the characters, and the artistic and aesthetic functions of the actor’s performance through comparative and analytical methods. The article demonstrates that the characters created by Agasadig Garaybeyli occupy a significant place in the development of the Azerbaijani national acting school and reflect the unity of language, literature and theatrical art. The findings indicate that, in addition to their high aesthetic value, the actor’s characters possess considerable scholarly and cultural significance in preserving and transmitting national identity, artistic thought and language culture to future generations.
