The role of morphological means in the connection of text components
Abstract. The article examines the organization of the text in the Azerbaijani language and its formation as a syntactic whole. It shows that a text is not a mechanical sequence of separate sentences, but a complex linguistic unit that is unified around a central idea and becomes coherent through internal connections. In the linking of text components, grammatical means, along with prosodic and lexical ones, also play an important role. Main parts of speech such as nouns, pronouns, and verbs, as well as auxiliary parts of speech such as conjunctions, particles, and modal words, contribute to the grammatical cohesion between sentences. These means ensure the continuity of thought within the text, strengthen the connection between sentences, and preserve the overall integrity of the content. At the same time, they help avoid repetition and make the text more fluent and comprehensible. As a result, the text is formed around a single idea and serves the more effective expression of communicative purpose.
