The Second Garabagh War: The Impact of Analytical Journalism Systems in Azerbaijani Media

Abstract

Analytical journalism clearly demonstrated its importance and role during the Second Garabagh War. Examples of this genre played a crucial role in analyzing the war and its consequences. This was evident not only in the press but across the entire mass media system. The primary goal of this article is to analyze examples of analytical journalism during the 44-day war. The article includes an analysis of examples from various mass media outlets and considers the characteristics of different genre samples. Specific examples are also referred to, ensuring visibility. The activity of the media during the Second Garabagh War is analyzed in this article. Additionally, the period preceding the war is examined, with a focus on the media's coverage of the reasons for the war's initiation. The article also discusses the role of analytical journalism in communicating the new realities of the post-war period to the public. The Second Garabagh War, as a conflict, also highlighted the role of analytical journalism in public life. It became clear once again that many examples from this genre, such as interviews and articles, remain relevant to this day. These issues are also explored in this article.
