2017-2020-ci illərdə Kiçik Qafqazın şimal-şərq ətəklərində 21 növə aid olan 131 ədəd su-bataqlıq quşu tədqiq olunmuş, 65 növ trematod aşkara çıxarılmış, bunlardan 4 növ Azərbaycan faunası üçün ilk dəfə olaraq göstərilmişdir. Ayrı-ayrı quş növlərinin trematod faunası 4 növlə 14 növ arasında olmuşdur. Əsasən balıqla qidalanan quşlarda 45 növ; əsasən onurğasızlarla qidalananlarda 16 növ; həm bitki və həm də heyvani qidadan istifadə edənlərdə 25 növ trematod qeyd olumuşdur. Trematod növlərin sayının quş növlərinin sayına olan nisbəti, əsasən, quşların birinci trofik qrupunda 4,5, ikinci trofik qrupunda 3,2, üçüncü trofik qrupunda 4,2 olmuşdur. Trematodlardan 1 növ insanın və yırtıcı ev heyvanlarının bağırsaq parazitidir, 1 növün serkariləri suda insana hücum edib qeyri-spesifik serkarioza səbəb olur, 2 növ quşlarda, 6 növ isə balıqlarda xəstəliklər törədir.

In 2017-20 on the northeastern slopes of the Lesser Caucasus 131 wetland birds of 21 species were studied, 65 species of trematodes were found, of which 4 species were new to the fauna of Azerbaijan. The trematode fauna of individual bird species ranged from four to 14 species. In birds feeding mainly on fish, 45 species found; feeding mainly on invertebrates – 16 species; eating both plant and animal food – 25 species of trematodes. The ratio of the number of trematode species and bird species in the first trophic group was 4.5, in the second group – 3.2, in the third – 4.2. Of the identified trematodes, one species can parasitize in the intestine of humans and domestic carnivores, cercariae of 1 species causes cercariasis in humans, 2 species is the causative agent of bird diseases, and five species – of fish diseases.
